HfX analyses the current housing situation in the country, identifying strategies most suitable for achieving a viable housing system. In close collaboration and partnership with the decision-makers, the centre works towards providing a set of recommendations for improved policies to be put in place.

To best address all target groups with varying social and economic circumstances - different income groups, displaced families, families in disaster areas - the centre develops recommendations for several programmes identified by corresponding types of tenure, providers, and financing mechanisms.

The outcome is the shelter itself. Its physical features shape the less measurable aspects of built environments, including the social dimension of sustainability.
Optimum architectural features can promote a better quality of life in the communities and efficiency throughout the lifecycle.
